About this deal

Without a doubt it's a Best Of compilation, and while the main CD features mainly songs from singles, it is a very good retrospective of what MA did best on each of their albums (including, for example, the likes of What Your Soul Sings and Future Proof, which aren't singles but which I think deserve damn-well their presence on the compilation). And finally, coming with the first CD there is a bonus CD of good previously-unreleased tracks (which I haven't spent much time on), the DVD of promo videos (which, like the CD side, I didn't spin too often yet), and a nice picture booklet. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.

There are so many many personal favourites on this compilation that it would be useless to name them: you just need to have a look at the tracklisting, most of it is made of my personal favourites.Massive Attack's music brings back memories: not that crazy weekend you piled into a van and drove down to New Orleans for New Year's Eve, but those quiet and isolated instants, images that stuck in your mind for no reason, moments when your life started to feel like a movie. En farfouillant par ci par là, j'ai cru comprendre que ce groupe figurait aussi dans d'autres films. Robert Del Naja sings on tracks 1, 4, and 7, plays keyboards on tracks 3, 5, and 7, and scratches on track 1.

In fact the DVD is actually the Eleven Promos DVD which came out in 2001 and only goes up to the Mezzanine era of videos stopping with Inertia Creeps. The cd of b-sides is fantastic cos contain rare materials previously unreleased like the songs silent spring, black melt and the beautiful joy luck club. It comes in a different packaging to the original Special Edition release and also ditches the DualDisc and instead has two seperate discs for CD2 and the Videos (which now comes on a DVD).Massive Attack are an English trip hop collective formed in 1988 in Bristol by Robert "3D" Del Naja, Adrian "Tricky" Thaws, Andrew "Mushroom" Vowles and Grant "Daddy G" Marshall.
