About this deal

There was nothing special about sixth-grader pig Gary Yorkshire. He enjoyed playing video games, reading comics, taking mud baths and hanging out with his friends, Carl the fish and Brooklyn the bat. Strengths: Gary and his friends are such a fun group. They support each other (Gary and Brooklyn are contributing secretly to Carl's aquarium), but also give each other a hard time (they make fun of his attitude toward being Batpig and wearing his uniform all the time). There are lots of fun details about school that ring absolutely true, and I loved that the kids in class all supported and thanked the hard working custodian. The aliens are goofy, but set up the scene for Batpig to save the day nicely. The illustrations are colorful and fun. This graphic novel is the closest thing I've seen to old style comic books like Richie Rich. Quite delightful Czytacie czasami komiksy? Jeśli tak polecam zarówno pierwszą jak i drugą cześć komiksu przygód nieustraszonego BatPiga. Harrell’s full-color graphic-novel charmer is over-the-top fun, filled with fast pacing, abundant silliness (pig puns abound!), and a well-developed plot and characters, that nevertheless does not rely on humor as its sole support . . .The social tribulations of being part of a trio of friends will resonate with middle-grade audiences. This is an absolute must-read for fans of Dav Pilkey’s Dog Man series. Readers will go hog wild for this lovable hero.”— Kirkus, starred review Batpig. Świnka wysokich lotów” to drugi komiks o Batpigu, autorstwa Roba Harrella, wydany przez Wydawnictwo Jaguar.

Brook is kind and calm coping with nasty girls, and Carl is bug shy with incredible consequences. BatPig is up against an old rival, whose fate is soon sealed as friendship wins the day. Batpig: Too Pig to Fail is a children’s comic book-style graphic novel that is filled with adventure and features a new superhero, a pig called Gary Yorkshire, and his classmates. When Pigs Fly is a very entertaining and engaging start to a new series and I look forward to more adventures with Batpig and his friends, the next title is due out in 2022.

Success!

Batpig may suddenly have superpowers, but nothing can prevent him stepping in chewing gum on the footpath. His mind begins to spin on inventing a solution. Weaknesses: Aren't brand names like Pop Tarts meant to be avoided? Granted, this information was probably gleaned from reading Writer's Digest in the 1980s, but there were a couple of brand names used, and that seemed odd. (I seem to remember that BandAids and Xerox were to be avoided in favor of bandages and photocopies.) Meanwhile, when not in costume, Batpig is Gary Yorkshire, a normal pig/boy going to school. Every morning he must pass a butcher shop. The owner stands out the front and calls him all sorts of names and tells lots of meat jokes. Things get even worse for Gary when he has to look after his VERY demanding younger cousin named Mervin.

Each Squad member brings their own traversal mechanics to help them navigate a sprawling and battle-torn Metropolis, combining free-roaming exploration and combat verticality for an unforgettable experience. Players are free to experiment with a variety of different play styles to unleash maximum damage on their enemies. Whether in single player or online with up to three of your friends, players can take on this suicide mission their own way. At first, he's hungry all the time, finds he's suddenly really strong, and needs hardly any sleep. Then he begins to float and can move stuff with his mind! He has to tell someone! Brooklyn can hardly believe it, but sure enough her pig friend can suddenly fly. This is HUGE! Should they tell Carl? They are all close friends but they both know he is terrible at keeping secrets. When Carl learns the truth he wreaks his revenge for being excluded - completely by accident! Mervin thinks everything is boring. He even thinks The Crimson Swine is "...stupid and dumb!" When Gary learns of a new villain in town threatening the factory of the town's favourite biscuit makers, he knows he must do something. But how? He has to look after Mervin.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League - Digital Deluxe Edition

The last story combines meeting a famous actor, aliens visiting Earth and a giant Bumblekitten. How can this go wrong? Gary and his friends Brook and Carl are enjoying their favourite sandwiches at Ye Olde Sandwich Shop, when the topic of tests come up. Gary might be superhero Batpig, but his memory about homework and tests is less than super. There are two tests are the next day and Gary hasn't studied. Gary, Carl & Brook are excited to be going to Camp Mouldy Snout. Soon after arriving, Gary feels bad about Brook being assigned to a different cabin from he and Carl. Carl is just keen to try out some archery! The book features three stories, two at eleven chapters, and a short story that is just one chapter long, written as the intermission.
