pre heated on gas then fitted pump assembly off a booster+1 couple of pumps fired no bother,no pulsing. It works well year round, is fairly easy to strip and clean but my one gets through gas in no time and is pretty unstable, mine likes to fold itself up if I'm not very careful.
so i left a canister of plain old butane outside all night a couple of nights ago, in the morning it was white frost all over ,i tried the stove with this can and it was just perfect even on low worked just fine ,well chuffed my last stove butane in the cool let alone the cold was useless. As Gerry says, when it's cold turn the canister upside down and it will gravity feed, although as I've said on another thread, different makes of gas canister work better than others, with Coleman 70/30 being the worst for gas pressure. The built in igniter is very useful and by keeping the gas canister separate its easy to alter the heat or switch off without having to touch the hot burner.
No more 1/2 empty gas canisters, as you can turn them upside down and burn the remaining gas via the preheater.
i did a cold weather test with the new stove ,the main reason i got this was because of the pre heat tube on this for the cold gas. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. the only difference i have found is that on the Bulin site they state the T4 is only 3000w but trakker state 3500w does anyone know if these are correct ,i would like a 3500w if possible for faster biol ect. yes i guessed the same tbh,,either trakkkers has been tweaked to 3500w or someone not telling the truth lol.I'm guessing there's a lot of variation in the leg tension on these, mine will quite readily roll itself up if you aren't careful placing/lifting a pan. So the moral here is just because someone offers discount do your home work and see if it I a good deal .
A very powerful burner for a quick brew but at the same time with very fine adjustment at the valve for slow simmering, and the preheater tube allowes the canister to be used inverted at low temperatures when half empty.
its ironic what crap they make today, as i still have my original old BRIT 1980 camping gas stove that takes the blue canisters, and its been used for donkeys of years still works fine, only prob is the canisters are EXPENSIVE if ya can even find them!
